When the 405 is congested, we typically run Lincoln Boulevard south through Marina del Rey and Playa del Rey, connecting to La Tijera or Sepulveda for the airport approach. It’s a surface street route but it moves reliably when the freeway doesn’t.
How early should I leave Santa Monica for a 7 a.m. flight?
For a 7 a.m. departure, we recommend a pickup no later than 5:00 a.m. LAX is large, security lines open early but can be unpredictable, and terminal walking distances add time. A 4:45 a.m. pickup gives you a comfortable buffer.
Do you serve Marina del Rey and Venice as well?
Yes. Marina del Rey, Venice, and Playa del Rey are all within our service area and are geographically close to the Santa Monica pricing range. The route to LAX from these neighborhoods is essentially the same as from Santa Monica.
