If you’ve ever tried to catch a rideshare at LAX on a Friday afternoon, you already know the drill. You land, walk to baggage claim, check your app — and suddenly that $35 ride is showing $78 with a 22-minute wait, somewhere in a lot you’ve never been to before. That’s not a bad day. That’s just LAX.
Los Angeles International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, handling over 75 million passengers a year across nine terminals. The Tom Bradley International Terminal alone processes thousands of international arrivals daily. The infrastructure is massive, the traffic around Century Boulevard is relentless, and the rideshare pickup zones — relocated to the LAX-it lots after the 2019 overhaul — add a walk, a shuttle, or a lot of confusion depending on which terminal you’re departing from.
JM Transportation Services does LAX differently. We track your flight, we’re there when you land, and the price you’re quoted is the price you pay. No surge. No guessing.
We’re not anti-technology. But rideshare apps were designed for short urban trips, not airport logistics with luggage, time pressure, and unpredictable traffic.
Here’s what actually happens at LAX with rideshare:
Surge pricing hits hardest when you need it most.
Peak hours early morning, evening arrivals, holiday weekends — are exactly when surge multipliers kick in.
A ride to Beverly Hills that costs $40 at 10am might cost $90 at 6pm on a Thursday. You won’t know until you open the app.
The LAX-it pickup area adds friction. Since TNCs (Uber, Lyft) are no longer allowed at the terminal curb, arriving passengers must take a shuttle or walk to the LAX-it lot on Avion Drive. If your driver gets lost or cancels, you’re starting the process over — still in the lot, still with your bags.
Driver cancellations are real. The longer the distance, the higher the cancellation rate. A driver heading to Pasadena or Malibu may cancel once they see the destination.
There’s no one to call. With a rideshare app, you’re on your own if something goes wrong. With JM Transportation, you have a direct phone number:
We’ve built our LAX service around one idea: you shouldn’t have to think about transportation after a flight.
We monitor your flight in real time. If your arrival from Chicago is delayed 40 minutes, we already know — and we adjust accordingly. There's no penalty for flight delays. You're not paying for extra wait time caused by the airline.
Your driver meets you inside the terminal at the arrivals level, not at a remote lot. You'll get a confirmation with your driver's name, photo, and the vehicle description before your flight even lands.
We quote your fare before you book. What you see is what you pay. The only variables are tolls (if applicable) and gratuity — which is entirely at your discretion.
Our drivers help load and unload your luggage. That's part of the service, not an add-on.
Our 2025 and 2022 Chevrolet Suburbans seat up to 6 passengers comfortably with full luggage. Traveling with a smaller group? Our 2026 Chevrolet Traverse seats 5 and offers a sleek, modern ride. We also have the 2019 Lincoln MKT available for those who prefer a classic executive feel.

Your driver will meet you in the arrivals area of your specific terminal — not at the LAX-it lot. You’ll receive your driver’s name, vehicle description, and a contact number before your flight lands. Look for a sign with your name.
If your flight is canceled, please contact us as soon as possible. We offer free cancellation with 24 hours’ notice. For same-day cancellations due to airline issues, we handle these on a case-by-case basis — we’re not going to charge you for something outside your control.
