What is point-to-point car service?
Point-to-point car service means a single-ride booking from one specific pickup location to one specific drop-off location. You’re not paying for the driver’s time beyond the trip itself. It’s the cleanest and most cost-predictable way to book private transportation for a specific journey.
How is point-to-point different from hourly service?
With hourly service, you’re paying for the driver’s time — they stay with you through multiple stops or wait while you’re at an appointment. Point-to-point is a single trip, one origin to one destination. If you know where you’re going and don’t need a driver on standby, point-to-point is typically more economical.
What's the minimum fare for a point-to-point trip?
Our base rate starts at $100, plus $4 per mile. That covers most trips within the Los Angeles metro area. We’ll give you a specific quote when you call.
Can I book point-to-point service for an airport pickup?
Absolutely. Airport transfers are one of our most common point-to-point bookings. We cover LAX, Burbank (BUR), Long Beach (LGB), John Wayne (SNA), and Ontario (ONT). For arrivals, we monitor flight status so we know when your flight actually lands.
What vehicles are available for point-to-point trips?
Our fleet includes a 2025 Chevrolet Suburban (seats up to 6), a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban (seats up to 6), a 2026 Chevrolet Traverse, and a 2019 Lincoln MKT. We’ll match the vehicle to your group size and luggage needs.
What if my flight is delayed or my meeting runs long?
For airport pickups, we track your flight in real time and adjust accordingly at no extra charge. For other trips, if your schedule shifts, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Is the $4/mile rate all-in, or are there additional fees?
The base rate is $100 plus $4 per mile. There are no hidden fuel surcharges or booking fees. Gratuity is at your discretion. We’ll give you your total before you book.
Do you offer service in Spanish?
Yes. JM Transportation Services is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. If you prefer to communicate in Spanish, our team can accommodate that from booking through drop-off.
What's your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a fee.
